We inherited an old cupboard that was literally falling apart and the door had already come off. Upside down I could see the shapes of angels so I cleaned and sanded it lightly and added whatever I had at hand – some white emulsion, a little bit of acrylic, watercolour, some gold paint called ‘Gold Finger’ which I also inherited and was keen to try out. The frame is finished with shoe polish and could probably do with another coat and some oil or wax I think.
