Tin can stool
A project to investigate heat shrinking plastic bottles to connect tin cans. The cans join together with a really strong bond. This was my first attempt at making a structure from the cans. As corner joints I cut sections from the corner cans to slot in the necks of the bottles.
The base and seat are windmill loop woven from plastic bags. The bags fitted in neatly and even hooked around the lids of the bottles on each four corners. I don’t know yet if it is a strong structure, but the weaving part has turned out well.
If the structure turns out not to be strong enough to be a stool, my kids suggest it would make a good fort!
