When I decided to buy clothes online I hadn’t realised that I was also purchasing a large volume of polystyrene coathangers. They have bothered me greatly and so I thought I’d to look to see what I could make out of them.

The one with the most potential is above and is held together with black cable ties. I think it has an Art Deco look about it. I think it needs a bit more finishing off on the edges and a way to add a backing, still a way to go to become a picture frame.

The other photos below are a record of playing around with shapes. If I had a huge collection I’d be able to sort them into hangers of the same size – as it is, I haven’t quite enough to make regular shapes. Still fun though!

What else could they be? Skeleton ribs? Bats?
